Support Passover in Ithaca

Please partner with us

  • Although Chabad will not be offering a public seder this Passover, we are working hard to supply students and families in Ithaca with many of the basic needs to make a meaningful Passover seder in their apartments of homes.

Many students chose to stay in Ithaca at the onset of this pandemic, some with literally no place to go and limited mobility. Many students are quarantined and unable to get basic necessities.

As there are no dining halls open across campus, Chabad is working with a regional caterer to provide hot meals for the seder and intermediate days of the holiday, as well as supplying matzah and kosher wine. We will be providing over 100 meals to students and residents over the course of the holiday.

Given the circumstances, this effort is costly and time consuming. You can help us in making this a success by donating today to support Passover in Ithaca.

  • In formulating your gift, the average Passover kit, which includes a full hot dinner, a haggadah, a seder plate and simanim, matzah and wine, will cost about $75.

Hot Chol Hamoed meals will cost about $40.

Meals are prepared in a sanitized commercial kitchen near Scranton, PA. Meals will be delivered in ready to heat and eat containers.

    Thank you!
